Frequently Asked Questions

  • Who is Stamm Travel?
            • Stamm Travel is a full service tour and travel company specializing in student group tours.  We love groups! We have served our customers for over ten years. Our philosophy is to offer a quality experience at an affordable price for all students, giving them the opportunity to gain valuable out-of –classroom experience.
  •  What does Stamm Travel provide?
    •  Stamm Travel provides a complete travel package designed according to your specifications. Most packages include: round-trip motorcoach transportation, accommodations, meals, attractions, performances, itineraries, and a tour escort.
  • What are my student’s rooming accommodations?
    • Student housing consists of a quality hotel with interior corridors and continental breakfast (unless otherwise indicated). Students are housed with three other students of the same gender. Roommates are determined by the teacher.
  • Who will be responsible for my student during the trip?
    • Chaperoning responsibilities fall under the jurisdiction of the school. All appropriate authorizations, releases, and medical forms should be directed to the head teacher of the trip.
  • What should my student bring?
    • Many organizations send home a list of items to bring on the trip.  Please keep in mind the duration of the trip and the activities to be experienced. In general, it is recommended that venue and weather appropriate shoes and clothing should be packed. This often means closed-toe shoes that are comfortable for walking. Layering is recommended for changes in temperature and weather conditions. An inexpensive small, fold-up plastic raincoat (available in many stores) is recommended for sudden changes. Also, a plastic bag for wet clothing is a good idea.
  • What documents should my student bring?
    • Trips involving international travel require a passport. Check with the school for any insurance information or identification (whether school or government issued) that would be required.
  • How much luggage should my student bring?
    • Keep in mind that on most trips, storage is limited. Generally, there are not many opportunities to change clothing during the day, so layering in school appropriate attire is recommended. Refer to the school for specific requirements.
  • How much money should my student bring?
    • Please review your student’s trip flyer to determine what is covered in the trip cost. Many of our groups choose to have all meals covered, others choose to have the students responsible for some of them. Additionally, snacks may not be covered. Keep in mind that if the group is visiting a warm location, additional beverages (other than meals) may be recommended.  Also, many trips have the opportunity to purchase souvenirs and mementoes.
  • How can I contact my student?
    • Many schools allow students to carry cell phones to maintain contact with their families.  Check with your school to see if that is the recommended way to communicate.  The school is responsible for your student – most communication should go through them. If, for some reason, you are unable to contact them, a Stamm Travel tour professional will be on the trip with the group. That number will be available, along with our office number.
  • What happens if it rains?
    • Most attractions and venues perform regardless of rain or shine. We highly recommend packing an inexpensive fold-up plastic raincoat that can fit in a string bag or backpack. If rain is in the forecast and the group has permission, we recommend a dry change of clothes in a plastic bag in the overhead compartment of the motorcoach. Many times, luggage under the bus is inaccessible.
